Tactile seam tracker IG can be combined with 3 models of motorized slides.
Tactile seam tracker IG keeps the torch constantly in touch with the joint and automatically delivers precise tracking for any welding process.
After moving straight downwards, the probe shall automatically pursue its tracking start position moving in the direction left-centre-right that has been pre-set.
After reaching that position, whenever the probe senses a deviation greater than 0.2 mm, cross slides shall move and correct the torch at a speed proportional to the error the probe has detected.
Single axis tracking can be performed by motorized slide or by side beam carriage and x/y tracking by motorized cross slides MM MICRO, MM MINI, MM MIDI, MM MIDI HD.
Essential condition for horizontal tracking is a 2 mm side wall, rebate or gap.
Plant composition:
– One or more motorized slides
– Connecting 10 mt. cables length for the probe slide-sand
– Control box
– Probe with manual cross slides
– Pendant with 10 m cable. On demand all cables can have different lengths
The heart of this system is the probe : it sends electrical signals to the motorized slides which immediately adjust the torch position, do notice the probe signal is proportional to any eventual variation, this to allow continuous and homogeneous
re-adjustments with a precision reaching more or less 0.20 mm.
By this way this system can be used with any applications having a defined joint (angle, smoothed joint or with port ones etc…) to adjust the vertical axe, the horizontal ones or both.
