Local train
Plant for welding the frame and the roof of aluminium local trains.
A manipulator, with height adjustable boom (not a retractable ones) and with a motorized base moving on rails delivering a work volume of 60 m length x 4.5 m width x 1.2 m height. On the boom has been installed one motorized carriage equipped with diving boom 1200 mm. stroke, whose lower end features the torch handling system consisting of a 2 – axis zero backlash robot wrist and of a linear oscillator as well. A 6-axis CNC allows the recording of countless jobs each one including the welding sequence and parameters as well.
The core of the plant is the torch handling system consisting of : 2 motorized rotational axis to set the torch angle and the linear oscillator as well, an anti–shock torch, a push pull wire, two videos and IG SCAN joint-tracking systems.
