Offshore platform yard

The pipes, that can be longer than 100 m and heavier than 200 ton, are pre-assembled on a «rotator bed» (named pile rack or rolling) of R500, R07C and R14C rotator models, consisting of synchronized drive sections (from 5 to 8 units) and, at least, of twice as many idle sections. All units are equipped with idle or motorized carriages to be easily moved on rails.

Due to climate conditions, the electric devices protection degree is equal to IP55 or even higher.

The total turning power of the synchronized drive sections usually is 3 or 4 times heavier than the pipe weight as, for several reasons (misalignment, distortion, etc.), sometimes it is not equally shared among the drive sections but weights on 2 or 3 drive sections only.
Welding machines shelter and operators comfortable work conditions are provided by the pre-fabricated houses shown by the picture, each ones can be easily moved on rails driven by the motorized base of a Column & Boom manipulator model Z or I POWER, equipped with SAW machine with TSV-3 video and IG systems joint-tracking as well.
